Tuesday, October 15, 2002 "Rawhead Rex" by Clive Barker "Rawhead Rex" is the story of an ancient, 9-foot-tall, flesh-eating creature which is unleashed on a small English town when a farmer unknowingly removes a large boulder from his field. The boulder has kept Rex imprisoned below ground for generations, and he emerges quite hungry. The story appears in Barker's "Books of Blood, Volume 3". I just discovered it was made into a film (which got a glowing review HERE), though this is the first I've heard of it. I drew Rex as I had always envisioned him. HE LOOKS QUITE DIFFERENT IN THE MOVIE. |
